Recommended to stay near Allappey town as it is more accessible to most of the tourist destinations.
Few beverage outlets can be found in Allappey - No self help counters - one may have to stand in queue to buy the liquor
Liquor is not available in houseboat ,So buy the liquor prior to cruising
Carry Sunscreen, hat or cap, Sunglasses while visiting beaches to avoid sunburn.
Recommended to watch Nehru Trophy Boat Race which happens on second Saturday of August every year.
You should bargain to the core while booking house boat.
