Recommended TOURIST LOCATIONS/SPOTS

Colva Beach:


  • Colva Beach is clean and white sand beach which stretches for around 2.4kms
  • Water spot activities like surfing, banana rides, water skiing, parasailing, and paragliding can be explored here
  • Nightlife is another main attraction of this place

Palolem Beach:


  • Happening beach of South Goa
  • Known for Silent noise party -India's original headphone party - Happens only on Saturdays
  • Dolphin Spotting
  • Nightlife is another main attraction of this place
  • Safe for average swimmers as the beach is shallowest at the northern end.

Butterfly Beach:


  • It resembles the shape of the Butterfly.
  • Can be reached here through a ferry as there is no access to this beach by road transport since the area is heavily forested, but 45-60 min trek through leopard valley can take you to this destination
  • Boat ride from Palolem to butterfly beach is highly enjoyable-
  • No shops in butterfly beach

Basilica of Bom Jesus:


  • UNESCO World Heritage Site
  • Built-in 16th Century which holds the mortal remains of St. Francis Xavier
  • Mass timing : Weekdays - 7 am, 8 am, 6 pm, 5 pm (Only on 1st Friday of the month) Saturdays – 7 am, 8 am, 6 pm Sundays - 8.15am , 9.15am , 10.15am (English) , 6pm
  • Take the help of a local guide to understand the history of this church

Cabo de Rama:


  • Believed to be the shelter place for Lord Rama and his wife Sita during 14 years exile in the forests of India
  • Visiting time 9.30 am to 5.30 pm
  • Santo Antonio church is also located inside the fort
  • Stunning sea view from the top of this port
  • 25kms from Canacona - Regular bus services are available from Canacona

Mahadev Temple, Tambdi Surla :


  • Temple of lord shiva which is located near Bhagwan Mahaveer Wildlife Sanctuary
  • It’s a small temple built in Jain style in the 12th Century
  • 54kms from Madgaon

Se Cathedral:


  • Built-in 16th century and it's dedicated to St. Catherine of Alexandria.
  • Famous for its golden bell which is the one of biggest bell in Goa.
  • Visiting time - 7.30 AM - 6.00 PM
  • Shoulders need to be covered before the entry and should be properly dressed- beachwear, sleeveless t-shirts are not allowed

TIPS & ADVISES

  • Only 2 full bottles of liquor are allowed per vehicle and make sure that you are carrying the bill & payment slip.
  • Do not drink and drive
  • Carry Sunscreen, hat or cap, Sunglasses to avoid sunburn
  • Carry your driving license if you are taking a car/bike for rent.
  • Helmets are mandatory for bike ride
  • Do not smoke in public places
  • Flight & hotel need to be booked 1-2 months before the journey as the fares are high during Dec 25 – Jan 1st
